14 July, 2025 — Try setting up the camera with the following parameters for a totally circular and dense startrails shoot, kind of like this one from Mike Shaw’s book, THE BEGINNER’S GUIDE TO ASTROPHOTGRAPHY:

20 seconds
800 images
800 images x 20 seconds = 16,000 seconds
16,000 seconds / 60 seconds per minute = 266 minutes
266 minutes / 60 minutes per hour = 4.44 hours.
Total shoot time will be close to 5 hours.
Try to aim for the north celestial pole.
Shoot in JPEG with the smallest file size for testing purposes.
